Preview Night

This year's preview night will occur on Tuesday, August 17th at 7:00pm in the Stadium.  The Bleachers are still being repaired, so you may want to bring lawn chairs to set up to watch the performance.  We will present pre-game and halftime performances as well as some stand tunes.  Students should arrive at 6:00pm  in their summer uniforms to warm up before the show.  We hope you can join us for this first performance of the 2010 Marching Generals.

Pictures

Band pictures were taken last week, but because of the construction in the stadium, we were not able to get the traditional group picture in front of the press box.  When pictures are delivered, students who ordered a full band shot will be missing the group photo.  A new group picture in front of the press box will be taken at a later date.  This issue is completely ours and is not a reflection on Ty Photo.  Thanks for your understanding.

Entertainment Books

The annual entertainment book sale is scheduled to start this week.  Books will be handed out on the first day of school.  This is our largest fundraiser and we hope that everyone will participate by purchasing at least one book for your family.  Students who sell at least 2 books will be eligible for prize drawings.  The sale will run until September 10.

Parades

On Saturday, August 21 we will be participating in both the Swanton and Pemberville Parades.  The Swanton parade begins at 10:30 and we are scheduled to be in the first half of the parade.  After that performance, we will travel back to the high school for a lunch provided by the boosters and then travel to Pemberville for their parade.  The Pemberville parade begins at 1:00pm and we will be in the last half of that parade.  After the parade there is a stand still performance in “downtown” Pemberville.  Arrival time back at the school should be around 4:00pm.
